Despite the stereotype that people without children are selfish and ungiving, childfree and childless adults have a long tradition of community involvement and active philanthropy.
Some childfree adults choose to add volunteering to their busy, active lives, while others, freed from the financial responsibility of children, leave thoughtful bequests to their favorite charitable organizations or choose to act as mindful mentors, preferring to make a difference in the lives of people already on the planet.
